 Objective

• To register,coordinate,regulate and promote all relevant activities for the healthy and orderly growth of the industry.
• To ensure that oil palm products produced and exported meet the trading contractual specifications and customer requirements.
• To provide more effective service and to give greater national and international focus to the Malaysian Palm Oil Industry

 Functions

To register, regulate,co-ordinate and promote all activities relating to the planting, supply, sale, purchase, distribution, movement, storage, surveying, testing, inspecting, export and import of oil palm products and the milling of oil palm fruit;
 

Further strengthened the legislative frameworks by :

- Embarking on series of quality inspection, control, sampling, testing and enforcement programs to check quality of the products;
- Emphasis at critical control points starts from the seed producers, nursery operators, production/processing from its raw material, storage, handling right through the final export point including ship tanks; and
- Stipulates and enforces regulatory functions as in ACT 582 and its legislations/ and its ubsidiaries
 

To gather information and maintain records of all relevant matter relating to the oil palm industry;
